Spring Cleanup / Range Closure

The Rifle, Pistol, Indoor Range, and Black Powder ranges are closed until 1pm.

It’s that time of year again. The outdoor rifle, pistol, Indoor Range, and black powder ranges will be closed for cleanup starting at 9AM until 1PM. Volunteers are encouraged to help for a $25 credit on their 2026 dues. We are looking for about 20 - 25 people to help. This year we need more participation from younger rifle shooters and indoor range users. Tool recommendations are gloves, rakes, pitchforks, shovels, hay/mulch rakes, gas weed wackers, wheelbarrows, etc. Some woodwork repair may also occur.

Please wait until May 1st to start signing up below.

Entries: Entries are $10.00 per match or $25.00 to enter all three.

Match Information: The Earle Cushman match is a series of three twenty shot matches to be held at Old Colony Sportsman’s Association. The matches begin on the first Thursday evening after the last SSRL summer match and continue for the next three Thursdays (August 7th, 14th and 21nd 2025). Shooting begins at 6PM.

Rules: Any .22LR rim fire rifle ammunition is allowed. All firing will be from the standing position. There will be two categories for competition Telescopic sights and Iron sights. Any shooting aid other that an artificial means of support may be used. Match master has the final say.
