NOTICE:

The Plymouth County League of Sportsmen Rebrands as the SE Mass Sporting and Conservation Alliance (SEMSCA)

PEMBROKE, MA—September 18, 2025—The Plymouth County League of Sportsmen, a non-profit organization founded in 1929, is pleased to announce it has officially changed its name to the SE Mass Sporting and Conservation Alliance (SEMSCA). This rebranding, which includes a new website and updated social media accounts, is intended to better reflect the organization's mission and geographic reach.

"The SE Mass Sporting and Conservation Alliance more accurately represents the geographical area of the current membership and unifies the diverse outdoors groups located throughout the southeast area," says Paul Johnson, current president of the PCLS. "I applaud the long-standing members who recognized it was time to grow and contribute back to the communities where we all live and work."

Growth and Benefits:

SEMSCA currently has 18,000 members representing 17 organizations. The marketing committee is actively soliciting other like-minded groups with the goal of growing membership to over 30,000.

The alliance provides a centralized communication network that enables calls to action, special events, and other tools to strengthen its mission. Connecting 30,000 like-minded neighbors who share a passion for sporting and conservation is a powerful and cost-effective way to promote member organizations and their activities.

How It Works:

This is accomplished through two main avenues: an email communication network and a community calendar. The alliance distributes approved content to participating organizations so they can share it with their members. The community calendar allows member organizations to connect and grow through shared events.

The new SEMSCA website will streamline this process. Information posted on the alliance's site will automatically be sent to members through their associated organizations.

"Investing thousands of dollars for website design and program development is a cost single clubs and organizations simply cannot afford, but it is feasible collectively," says Paul Johnson. "To have the ability to do one website post and have it automatically update my club's social media sites and send an email message directly to the Carver club's secretary for member notification is really something. We finally made it into the 21st century!"
