Club Kitchen Reopen
The Board of Directors and the OCSA House Committee are excited to announce the reopening of the Kitchen for weekend breakfast and lunch, membership meeting dinners, hall rentals, and special events. Over the past year, the House Committee has led the search for a new operator and overseen required renovations. Due to their efforts, the Club has entered into an agreement with Joe and Robin Armstrong DBA The Bog Cafe. They will be open starting at 9AM on weekends and 5PM on membership meeting nights.
In addition to ready to eat food orders they will also have available produce variety boxes which you can preorder for delivery to you. The box is priced at $38 for a regular size and $58 for family size. Senior and veteran discounts are available. For information, see this Facebook link, consult the Cafe website, or stop by and ask on the weekend.
You have been asking for this service to return so please consider stopping by for Breakfast or lunch even if you do not plan to shoot. Bring your family, friends, etc. and enjoy the social atmosphere with your fellow club members.
Please take a moment to thank the members of the House Committee for their efforts. Keith Savage, Arthur MacFadgen, Mary Breen, and John Redden
See our Club Kitchen page for more information.

A signup sheet will be place on the bulletin board of the club. The list will be removed ONE WEEK before the November meeting when the election will be held.

2022 Dues Bills
The membership team has begun sending out the 2022 dues bills via email. If you have not seen your bill within the next two weeks please check any SPAM or junk mail folders. If after two weeks from this date you have not seen the bill use the contact process below.
Payment Options:
Drop off: Place your payment in a sealed envelope. Make sure to include the membership numbers of all persons you are paying for on the check or money order. Place the sealed envelope through the slot on the membership office door inside the clubhouse. Do not use the mailbox on the porch as this is not opened by the membership team.
U.S. Mail: Place your payment in a sealed envelope. Make sure to include the membership numbers of all persons you are paying for on the check or money order. Mail the payment to "OCSA Box 523, Pembroke, MA 02359-0523". Do not use the forest street address, the post office will not deliver here and your payment may not get recorded.
Electronic: Go to the OCSA Store at old-colony.org/ocsa-store. At the store, you will see a selection for membership renewal. When you select this, you will have the choice to select from a full member, spouse, or junior. With each selection a form will pop up asking for required membership information so we can match the payment to the member. Fill in the information and then add that selection to your cart. You can add as many types of membership payments as needed for your situation. For multiple juniors, simply increase the quantity of junior renewals as needed, fill in the form once and place the remaining juniors' names and membership numbers into the text box at the end of the form. Once you are done select checkout. You will then complete the financial information. You should receive an email confirming completion of the process. NOTE: A service fee is added for all electronic payments. The amount of this fee is detailed in the information field.
Important notes
Please note that we cannot electronically process renewals with range work credits. Continue to use a check after getting your dues bill with the credits.
Please note that you are not required to use the electronic payment service. You may continue to pay by check or cash at the club as in the past using the mail slot on the office door. DO NOT USE THE VENDOR MAILBOX OUTSIDE THE CLUB.
Please note that we are charged a fee by the website hosting company and another fee by the credit card processor. These fees have been added as electronic service fees and are noted in the text when you select the renewal item. I have reproduced this below. If you do not want to pay the processing fee you can continue to use a check once you receive your dues notice.
If paying by check, place the membership numbers for all persons covered on the check.

NRA Family Day Open House
The OCSA Open House is BACK! Forced to close last year due to Covid, we are bringing it back this year on Sunday September 19th. This is when the club opens its doors to anyone from the public interested in checking us out. The only requirement for admission is that they must register with a young person generally age 10-16. Safety instruction and opportunities to fire certain firearms will be available. SEE FLYER
Each activity will run continuously unless noted otherwise. Black Powder demonstrations will be active from 10am to 12pm, IDPA demonstrations will be active from 12pm to 2pm. Archery will also return for the first time in several years. What we need to make this the success it has always been, are club members willing to lend a hand in one of the following ways:
· A firearm and your time on the line to run it
· Ammunition, all calibers
· Archery assistance
· Administrative help to aid in registration, checking for needs on the line etc.
· Photos and video that the club can use (details on how to submit later).
· Helping to talk to people waiting on the firing line to keep things moving and to talk about what the club has to offer.
Joe Staier will be organizing this event. If interested in helping, donating, or you have questions. Send them to oldcolonyfamilyday@gmail.com
ALL RANGES WILL BE CLOSED TO GENERAL USE UNTIL 2PM

Club Jr. Rifle Survey
OCSA members, guests, and friends. We would like to get your opinion on restarting our Jr. Rifle program. The Jr. Rifle program was very successful in the past and George Wilson is seeking information on the level of interest and if anyone wants to help.
The Junior Rifle program is for people 10-18 years of age. The program works with experienced instructors and mainly uses .22 cal rifles on our 50ft indoor range. You do not need to be a club member to participate. There is a $5 per session fee to cover some operational costs. Students should bring their own eye and ear protection. If there is sufficient interest, some travel to other clubs for matches may be available.
Please only answer the survey once so we can get an accurate picture of the interest. The survey will run until the June 2021 membership meeting.
